Archive for Missing Michael Jackson

Recorded on February 1st, 2010, in the same studio as the original 25 years earlier (Henson Recording Studios, formerly A&M Recording Studios) “We Are The World 25 For Haiti”, in which Jones and Richie serve as executive producers and producers, was created in collaboration with executive producers Wyclef Jean, Randy Phillips and Peter Tortorici; producers Humberto Gattica and RedOne; and co-producers Rickey Minor, Mervyn Warren and Patti Austin to benefit the Haitian earthquake relief efforts and the rebuilding of Haiti.

Academy Award-winning writer-director Paul Haggis (Crash, Million Dollar Baby), whose own personal efforts as well as those of Artists for Peace and Justice have already saved countless lives in Haiti, filmed the private recording session to create the accompanying video and behind-the-scenes production, and serves as Film Director and as an Executive Producer with Jones, Richie, Jean, Phillips and Tortorici.

The 25th Anniversary recording features over 80 artists and performers. The recording of We Are The World 25 For Haiti embodied the same enthusiasm, sense of purpose and generosity as the original recording 25 years ago. Every one of the artists who participated, regardless of genre or generation, walked into the room with their hearts and souls completely open to coming together to help the people of Haiti.

We Killed Michael Jackson

Posted by: Eve | Comments (0)

Where were all the weeping fans, the artists who hail him as their hero, the radio DJs who can’t stop playing his music? Where were they 10 years ago? Oh right. Everyone thought Michael Jackson was a freak – a plastic surgery addicted child molester. His last studio album “Invincible,” released 2001, failed to garner true hit single because radio stations refused to play the songs. Music critics tore him to shreds. He was blackballed. People made fun of him, he was considered a washed-up, has-been, crazy person.

The success of “Thriller,” which as sold over 110 million copies worldwide and counting, can never be matched. (“Invincible,” for the record managed to sell respectful 13 million copies worldwide to date. No artist can keep up that kind of string of hits. But, he put his heart and soul into every new recording he did, but judgment had already been cast before anyone heard the music.

He was a desperate man in pain and everyone threw stones at him. Now it’s fashionable to be a Michael Jackson fan. Radio stations now play his music on heavy rotation. His albums are flying off the shelves. Urban Outfitters even carries a commemorative vinyl collection that hipsters can frame and put on their walls. Suddenly the entire world has rediscovered Michael Jackson. He’s dead damn it. Imagine what this kind of love would have done for him while he was living? Maybe then he wouldn’t need drugs to sleep.

Michael’s body was still warm when celebrities, music execs, family members and even his personal staffed whored themselves to TV news programs professing to be Michaels’ best friends. People who didn’t even know him were releasing statements. Where were these so called best friends when Michael needed an intervention? Needed help? Nowhere. Yes, some tried, and Michael would not listen — so keep trying!!!

Things had gotten so strange in Michael’s world, that before he signed with AEG to do a string of concerts, one management company was trying to convince him to be ‘virtual Michael.’ No joke – they were going to set up a 3D Internet portal so Michael could interact with the world without leaving his house. That’s enough to make anyone feel nuts.

The AEG deal gave him new life. It brought him back to what he does best – perform, be in front of fans, be around humans. Only the inner sanctum at AEG believed in him. The public and the pundits were waiting for him to fail. Many fans who bought tickets to the sold out concerts just wanted to go to see a historic spectacle, hoping they would witness a car crash.

We killed Michael Jackson. We helped create his gilded cage and then we rejected him. Death serves you well Michael, the world is finally acknowledging the amazing force of nature you were. You changed the face of music. Rest in peace.

Lyrics:
Jackson, Jackson,
The legend Michael Jackson,
Forever remember where you was when it happened,
Everybody staring at phones reading their flashes
In hope it was just a rumour and sooner well get the facts in.
Ill always remember the spot where I was standing
Exact same spot where I felt like collapsing.
Our relationship with music he has always been the captain
Even after confirmation it sunk, it never sank in.
The same year I was born Michael brought you Thriller.
Funny the 1st ever album that I was brought was Thriller.
Out of this world his moonwalk done brought us all together.
An important figure cant figure a human force thats bigger.
It wasnt right how the media handled Mike
Disgusting how theyre always discussing if he was black or white.
His mum was black, his dad was black so it aint rocket science to say hes black alright.
But that didnt matter to him, cause he was not racist.
Self proclaimed Bad thus he caught cases
There aint a smooth criminal without court cases.
Said he was touching, I said he was touching all nations,
Even before Dangerous hes like a thousand times bigger than rest
Rewind his tape like a thousand times Elvis was a great and Lennon was a Legend and Michael J was like both over a thousand times.
They said that his sales declined but after about 750 million whats left to yell about?
There aint a music act that doesnt owe Jacko, jack
So hes always gonna sell as long as theyre about
Watching his life was an honour and I dont mean no kinda disrespect to Madonna
But Michael was on a different level, and he adopted all of us in his songs
While he was trying to heal the world like a doctor.
I hope the money goes to the kids, as I hold these two O2 tickets. For his 50 date tour less than 50 days away so from his death at 50 wish he had 50 days more but never got half, pasted on the 25th of June and we should remember this day as his.
I believe he never left and he would never leave, never been a legend that lived that can ever breathe, never been a martyr that fought that can forever bleed, never been a leader that walked, that can forever lead, God will give him to us same God will to take him from us. Now hes in his rightful place cause he was so heavenly. All for one and one for all he made a song for all, so I put a copy of his Off The Wall on the wall.
My town misses him, your town misses him, everybody since motown misses him. Now when you think of him picture him standing on a stage with his hand up one glove glistening, whole world at a standstill listening anticipating his next move the King is him.
From age 5 and the days of J5 hes never took a break, no rest to take 5, therell never be a next the rest just aint Mike.
Time to pay our respects and watch the angels take flight
Out into the sky and never ever land, cos his house was in the sky and never, never never land.
Under all the pressure he never ever ran, hes the best forever damn, who dressed forever glam.
The biggest man on the planet, not just a brother to Janet, our thoughts go out to his family,
He gave his hearts to the fans and he paved the way for the future, still his flame is in you, cos he inspired song writers, record labels, producers,
They saying Michael Jackson was the King of Pop.
But Im saying he was the King full stop.
People saying Michael Jackson was the King of Pop,
but Im saying he was the King full stop.

Why, Michael?!

Why did Michael Jackson died

Why? Why? Why?

How can the sun still come up when your life has stopped?
How can it still shine so brightly when you are not here anymore?
How can we still get up every morning and „pretend” as „nothing” happened?
How can we just carry on and live our lives when you can’t?
…. can I just make the time stop, can I make the rain pour as my tears from my eyes?
…. can I just stand still for a while and remember you?
…. can I just scream and shout and not to accept that you are gone and want to know why, why, why?????

I can’t believe Michael Jackson died

Michael Jackson died

Michael, ten days passed since your… your final travel. And I hardly accept it. The past year, my girlfriend (who was just a friend back then) bought me a poster of Michael Jackson, saying “King of Pop” with you, your hat, your glove, standing on the tip of your feet.

Yesterday i bought another poster, with you wearing a long sleeve red shirt, during the bad period. On it, there are your biggest achievement: 8 grammy awards, 37 weeks at number one of the charts, biggest selling music video of all time, 10 american music awards, 20 billboard awards, biggest selling album of all time. I attached it above the “King of Pop” one. And… it’s beautiful. I, we miss you, Michael jackson. You will rock our world forever. We will never forget you. Never

copy and paste this to the video if you support MJ

this is a video i made at 3 in the morning while mourning over Michael . i still can’t believe it. it’s so hard to move on.
Michael Joe Jackson passed away today, June 25 2009 at 50 years old. He died of cardiac arrest in a rented home in California and was pronounced dead at 2:26 PM. He will be greatly missed and NEVER forgotten.
I am a young fan. i never really got into Michael Jackson until this year, and it was because of that State Farm commercial. ever since, i’ve been looking up EVERYthing about him and eventually developed and unhealthy obsession with him. However, he influenced me to really look at the world i live in and see what i can do for it. The man is a genius. i am truly saddened because i will never get to see him as long as i live and all i have are pictures on the internet. i really wanted to see him in London but i guess it will never happen now. I hope he rests in peace.

I’m not a professional at this stuff so it may not look very good and i know my voice was very low. sorry.
I hope you enjoy the video.
Michael Jackson was not only a singer but a FREAKING LEGEND, a humanitarian and a father. i hope he’s in heaven kicking it with God as i write this and i hope he finds the happiness he deserves.
RIP Michael Jackson [1958-2009]

Michael Jackson tribute
What a truly sweet man. I have always thought I was born a decade too late. He was actually magical to me as a child, I adored him, I still do. What a terribly misunderstood and lonely man, I only hope there is an afterlife in which he finds some kind of peace and some kind of true love. So many people would’ve given their right arm to love him like he wanted to be loved. I feel so awfully saddened that he ended his life only knowing loneliness. Jackson’s death should remind all of us to never get caught up in the clouds, to keep the people we love and trust close to us, because they will be the ones that save our souls.
I remember asking my parents when I first encountered Jackson around the age of 6 if he was a woman, I was only little, I didn’t know! And what I learned of was a beautiful and complex man, who could inspire awe into generations. We were no different, probably as the last generation he touched with his music and presence we were grateful.
I hope there is an afterlife, because if there is, it would absolutely rule to meet Michael Jackson. I just hope he doesn’t have an afterlife house with afterlife gates and afterlife security. I was originally going to call one of my children Jackson, and now I suppose it will also be in tribute to Michael. Toying with the idea of a Jackson tattoo also, because I wanted my first to be at a milestone in my life, and this truly is one. I feel a true loss of a hero but am inspired to continue doing the thing I love, which I had recently forgotten about and lost. If only we could turn back time.
A man who changed the world. Lost but not forgotten.
